Andrea Raphael

Andrea Raphael is the Global Head of Communications and Public Affairs and Global Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI). In her Communications role, Andrea serves as the primary media spokesperson for Värde and is responsible for public relations, content and branding. In her DEI role, Andrea oversees the firm’s initiatives to foster and maintain an inclusive work environment and increase diversity among Värde’s employees and in the industry. Based in New York, she joined the firm in 2018.  

Prior to joining Värde, Andrea spent 17 years with Goldman Sachs serving in various senior communications roles, most recently as Managing Director in Corporate Communications. With more than 20 years of industry experience, Andrea has led communications efforts across a variety of investing disciplines, including all asset classes in asset management, wealth management, private equity, hedge funds and real estate. 

Andrea received a B.S. in Communication from Boston University. She serves on the board of INCLUDEnyc, a nonprofit focused on inclusion, equity and access for young people with disabilities.
